In the heart of the Monteferrato protected nature area, among the rolling hills of Prato, 30 km from Florence, you can find the Javello estate, a settlement dating from the 11th century.

Within the vast estate of 350 hectares, predominantly woodland, the “Azienda Agricola Reticaia” cultivates 5000 olive trees producing extra-virgin olive oil “Fattoria di Javello”, and offers hospitality in the antique XVI century farmhouse called “La Casaccia”, which has been recently renovated in the typical Tuscan style.

The Javello farmhouse is the monumental hub of the estate. Its main body has a medieval tower, a chapel with frescoes dating from XVI and XVII centuries, and an entrance courtyard adorned with beautiful lemon and rose bushes. Stables and barns look onto a beautiful enclosed lower court. A picturesque path with century old plane trees and blue hydrangeas opens into the garden, on the north side
